The base of a ladder is placed 5 feet from a wall. If the top of the ladder rests 9 feet up on the wall, how long is the ladder? (rounded to the nearest tenth)

5^2 + 9^2 = X^2

25 +81 = x^2

106 = x^2

X = sqrt(106)

x = 10.29

 Ladder is 10.3 feet long
