What is the x coordinate in the solution of the system of equations y =-2/3x and 4x - 9y =-40

The two given equations are:
y = -2/3 x 
4x - 9y = -40

Substitute by the first equation in the second as follows:
4x - 9(-2/3 x) = -40
4x + 6x = -40
10x = -40
x = -4
