If you double each dimension, it is obviously going to get bigger because the volume is bigger, the space inside the prism. It changes because the measurements are bigger. For example, if the dimensions are 2 by 2 by 4, and the volume is 16, then if you double the dimensions, 4 by 4 by 8, then the volume is bigger, 128. The amount that the volume changes by varies with each shape.
