Athens was definitely a more calm city. They, like Athena, believed more in war strategy and would make intricate plans instead of charging out blindly with nothing but strength like they did in Sparta. Sparta believed in human sacrifice and was known for having fearless fighters. They believed in intimidation and strength rather than intelligence like they did in Athens.
