They were laws, protected rights for both plebeians and patricians, influenced legal systems today, more sophisticated or serious, helped create Law of Nations(universal law), "person is innocent until proved otherwise", had a judge(makes decision of guilty or not guilty). it was the first form of Roman law, only applied to citizens.
