To find out how much candy you and your friend would get each you'd have to divide [tex] \frac{3}{8} [/tex] by 2 -

[tex] \frac{3}{8} [/tex] ÷ 2 = 0.1875

So you and your friend would get 0.1875 of candy from the bag each lol
