The oil shortage
This was caused by numerous conflicts in the middle east as well as wars and revolutions. The other cause of oil shortage was an oil embargo declared by OPEC members reacting against USA decision to resupply the USA military during the Yom Kippur war. There were also other energy crisis such as the energy crisis.
