the area of the purple rectangle is 104 metres2 (l x w) and the triangle is base x height divided by 2 so to get the base, subtract 8 from 13 = 5 so 5 x 6 divided by 2 = 15 metres 2. now the red triangle i can't seem to figure out. all i know is that you need to divide the complex shape into 2 regular shapes
