If the ing form of a verb is used as the main verb of the predicate the auxiliary must contain a form of BE.
Examples could include:
She was swimming in the pool.
I am eating grapes.
Can you find if they will be having dinner?
They were going to the market for food.
What time will the be arriving tonight?
