Why is it important for the human body to have reflexes?

"Well, because without them if you would, for example, accidentally put your hand on a hot stove, your reflex would be to pull away. Without reflexes, the pain will be felt and go to the brain, then the brain will tell the hand to be removed, and then that command will go to the hand, thus removing the hand."
