A contractor is pouring a concrete driveway. The perimeter is 108 ft. What length will the driveway be if the width is 12 ft.?

The length will be 42 because perimeter is found by adding all the lengths of the sides together.

so:
(two sides) 12*2=24
108-24=84
84/2=42

(12+l)*2=108

12+l=54

l=42
