solve 1.2 = g - (-4.3)

Get rid of the two minus signs. They make a plus.
1.2 = g + 4.3 Subtract 4.3 from both sides
1.2 - 4.3 = g Now subtract. You get a minus number.
-3.1 = g

This one really is a bit sneaky.
