The initial response of the root cells of a tomato plant
that has been watered with the use of the seawater is that it will likely start
to plasmolyze because the water is lost. Plasmolyze or also known as
plasmolysis is being defined as contraction of the plant cell’s protoplast in
which will cause the water of the cell to lose.
