Alice has x $ . It means that Barry has (x-15) $ and Charlene has 5/9 * (x-15) $
So they have x + (x-15) + 5/9 * (x-15) $ altogether
x + (x-15) + 5/9 * (x-15)  = x + x - 15 + 5x/9 - 25/3 = ² [tex] \frac{5}{9} x[/tex] - 70/3
