A club had some money to purchase new chairs.After buying 355 chairs at $199 each,there was 1,068 remaining. How much money did the club have at first?

Well you multiply 355 by 199 then add 1,068 and you would get 71,713

What you have to do here is to mutiply the cost of the chair (199) by the amount that was brought (355)
355*199= 70645
You've then got to add the original money that they had (1068) to this amount
70645+1068= 71713
Therefore, the club had $71713 before they purchased the chairs.
