Appalachiais a cultural region located in the Eastern United States that extends from the Southern Tier of New York to northern Alabama and Georgia. That region from the United States received immigrants from Germany as well as the UK countries of Scotland, England and Ireland.
According to the 2010 United States Census, the region was home to approximately 25 million people.
