if we round to the hundredth place, this means that we round to one hundredth, that is 0.01- after this position there will only be 0s.

So for us

12,863.14846
changes into

12,863.14

or does it? the first number we cut off is bigger than 4, so we actually have to increase the previous number: the correct answer  is:



12,863.15

IT WOULD BE 12,863.15 because you would round up (because 8 is higher than 5) so you would get B.
