Universities or colleges mostly employ forensic entomologist full time. Many of them are members of the faculty. Doctoral degrees are required for these positions. Entomologists are also employed in agricultural agencies that include federal, state, local agricultural protection agencies, health organizations, laboratories, and research groups.
