A jewelry box is in the shape of a rectangular with a volume of 528 cubic inches l. The length of the box is 12 inches and the height is 5 1/2 inches. What is the width of the jewelry box

volume=length*height*width
528=12*5.5*w

divide both sides by 12
44=5.5w
divide both sides by 5.5
8=w
width is 8 inches
