Wetlands provide a habitat for many animals including fish, birds, reptiles, and other varieties of wildlife. Some of the species that make their home in the wetlands are endangered and are not able to live in any other place. Humans derive a benefit from wetlands as this land form plays an important role in purifying water for drinking.
