The precipitate formed from the reaction of BaCl2 and NaOH is Barium Hydroxide. Barium Hydroxide is a white precipitate. The reaction that proceeds is a double replacement reaction. This means that the anions and the cations of the two different molecules switch places, forming entirely new compounds.
