The mitochondrion is the structures found in eukaryotes but not found in prokaryotes. It is known as the powerhouse of the cell, the function of these structure acts like a digestive system, it generates large quantities of energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate. It is found in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells.
