The product of 12 and the sum of -2 and 6

The answer would be negative 18.
This is the equation.
[tex]12 \times - 2 + 6[/tex]
Use PEMDAS, and go from left to right. 12 times negative 2 is negative 24, and negative 24 plus 6 is negative 18.
