1).  Remove all parentheses on each side of the equation, using legal methods.

2-A).  Do everything you need to do ... multiply, divide, add, subtract ...
to get 'x' all by itself on one side of the equation.

BUT ...

2-B).  Every time you do anything to one side of the equation ...
multiply it, divide it, add to it, subtract from it ... you must immediately
do the same thing to the other side.

When you have 'x' all by itself on one side, then the other side
will be the solution.
