Chlorophyll found in the leaves makes the process of photosynthesis happen. Said chlorophyll captures the sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide from around the plant, then turns it into a sugar, then a starch. Carbohydrates are also found in the cellulose of a plant, it is what gives it its strength and structure.
