Production after the industrial revolution was different due to the fact that numerous advancements were made involving technology. For example, the widespread building of factories. Once the uprise of factories had occurred, products and raw goods had a much higher demand overall, globally.

The answer is: Before the Industrial Revolution, items were produced one at a time. After the Industrial Revolution, items were mass produced.
