This would be the meso level of analysis. If the research was at the federal level on how NCLB functioned, it would be a macroanalysis. If the study was done for the Des Moines school system only, it would be a microanalysis. Macro is national or international level, meso is the state or regional level, and the micro level is the city, district, or county level.
