I think you refer to Five Precepts, one of the most important beliefs of Buddhism which are equivalent to the Ten Commandments of Christianity:
1. don't kill any creatures
2. don't steal
3 don't lie
4 be moderate or avoid sexual activity
5 do not consume consume alcohol or drugs
