There are a countless amount of reasons why they came to America, but the main reason why was to escape the religious persecution they were facing in their country. If they lived in the Americas, they would be able to practice any religion they wanted. Another reason they came was for money. They would trade certain things like fur and wood with the Native Americans. While the Europeans were there, the Native Americans taught them how to farm and raise livestock properly.
