[tex]6(h+4)=-2h Distribute (6)(h)+(6)(4)=-2h 6h + 24 = -2h 6h + 2h = -24 8h = -24 Divide both sides by 8 8h/8 = -24/8 h= -3 [/tex]

1. Expand the equation to get:

6h+24=-2h

2. Make 'h' the subject by shifting it:

6h+2h=-24 (when it shifts positions the positive and negative signs will flip)

3. Simplify the equations:

8h=-24
h=-24 divided by 8
h= -3 (answer!)
