The normal saline concentration is 0.9% NaCl. Now if the concentration becomes 1.5%, therefore this only means that the number of solute NaCl increased. Hence we can say that the solution is now “hypertonic”.

Hypertonic is when the amount of solute in greater inside the cell than outside of it.
