Ramses II build many structures and buildings in the whole of Egypt. One of them was the Ramessum, a big memorial temple. Another famous construction of his is the Abu Simbel tempe complex, which was carved into the mountains in Nubia, southern Egypt. Additionally be built a new city, Pi-Ramesses, which he also made the capital of Egypt.
