A motor boat travels 130km in 5 hours going upstream. It travels 220km going downstream in the same amount of time. What is the rate of the boat in still water and what is the rate of the current?

Let b be the speed of the boat; and c be the speed of the current. Then:
5b-5c=130
5b+5c=220
10b=350
b=35
c=9
