Anorexia is an eating disorder that can be fatal if left untreated. A person with anorexia will stop eating and lose extreme amounts of weight. The person with this disorder will still think they need to lose weight and usually need to be hospitalized and attend therapy. The first crucial step in the treatment is to restore adequate body weight.
