The process Lipogenesis describes the synthesis of triglycerides. Lipogenesis is the biosynthesis in the liver of triglycerides but also fats from glucose.
The triglycerides are dietary fat consumed with food. They are transported in the form of plasma-lipoproteins called chylomicrons
