Subsequent to accepting a land concede from the Spanish Crown in 1820, Moses Austin intended to be the first to set up an Anglo-American settlement in Spanish Texas however passed on before his fantasy was figured it out. On his deathbed, he argued his child, Stephen F. Austin to satisfy his fantasy to colonize Texas.
