Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a synthetic polymer, and is water-soluble. It is found in paper adesive, thickener, paper coatings, in eye drops, fixative in sample analysis, used in 3D printing, water transfer printing process, and biodegradable plastic sheets.
