the one that is not a reason why King James I and Parliament clashed was: He tried to marry his son to a Catholic

Mostly, the reason of the conflict between king james I and the parliament was because of King James' selfish behavior. 
He sold his titles of nobility for money and refused to speak with the parliament about this action.
