Calcite is a specific kind of mineral wherein it generally has a molecular formula of CaCO3. In addition, it is commonly found in any rock type which could either be a metamorphic, sedimentary, or igneous. Calcite has been proven to be much of an importance since it is a primary ingredient in marbles and limestones.
