Assuming that this means not including -4 and 6, the inequality would look like -4< x< 6.
However, if it includes -4 and 6, then the inequality would look like -4[tex] \leq [/tex] x[tex] \leq [/tex] 6, with the additional line underneath the less than symbol representing "equal to", so the -4 and the 6 are included.
