This sequence is called the electromagnetic spectrum. This spectrum highlights or shows the arrangement of electromagnetic waves in order of frequency and wavelength. Electromagnetic waves are waves that have both an electric and magnetic component or fields. These waves do not require a medium to exist. Examples include visible light, microwaves and gamma rays.
