i believe that U.S.A. is dependent on oil because oil helps cars, airplanes, helicopters all running.
Why is the United states so dependent upon oil?
One reason is because we have increased the oil production but not enough.
But millions of barrels of oil are being consumed even though the gap between oil consumption and oil production have shrunk. That means that we have to import foreign oils.
