my car can travel 360 miles on 18 gallons of gas . if i travel 540 miles,will 26 gallons be enough ? why ?

Rate of your car=360/18
R=20 miles per gallon
So for540 miles it would be 540/20=27 gallons
Not enough...u will need one more gallon
