STAAR stands for State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness. It has three categories. These are:
Level III: Advanced Academic Performance
Level II: Satisfactory Academic Performance
Level I: Unsatisfactory Academic Performance
Phase in 1 standards for Level II will be in effect in school years 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.
