One factor that determines the pace of a play would be the DIRECTOR. Generally, it is the director that controls what is happening within the play or a film. It is him or her that can visualize what the script is and holds special instructions to the crew and other members of the play. Basically, it is the director that directs everybody on how to put a play to life.
