What is the answer to 2+6x=1-x

[tex]2+6x=1-x \ \ \ |+x \\ 2+7x=1 \ \ \ |-2 \\ 7x=-1 \ \ \ |\div 7 \\ x=-\frac{1}{7}[/tex]

So we do the same on both sides of the equation:

First we add x - 2+7x=1

Then we take away 2- 7x=-1

Then we divide by 7- x=1/7 or -0.14
