anyway here's the solution solved with the quadratic formula:
a = 6   b=-9  c=22
The solution would be:
x =[--9 +-square root (81 - 4*6*22)] / 12
x = [9 +- square root (81 -528)] / 12
x = [9 +- square root (-447)] / 12
x = .75  (+- 1.7619 i)

I took this test today! The answer is D, x = 9 + √(-9)² - 4(6)(22) ÷ 2(6).
