A scale factor is coefficient that allows one to increase or decrease the shape of a figure in a graph.
THe scale factor is multiplied by each coordinate of each point of the figure. If the scale factor is lower than 1 the figure is reduced, if the scale factor is greater than 1 the figure is increased.
