The warfare ended with the emphasized downfall of the Pequot. In the end, approximately 700 Pequots were slaughtered or brought into captivity. Hundreds of internees were sold into slavery to colonists in Bermuda or the West Indies; other survivors were scattered as captives to the victorious tribes.
