Fascism put an emphasis on expansionism, extreme nationalism, anti-Marxism, and anti-liberalism. Ultimately, due to its nationalist, expansionist, and warlike tendencies, fascism was the primary factor that shattered the fragile peace of the interwar period and incited the Second World War.
